Golden Rules of Hobbying

I know that some of you have many more years at hobby than me. And by no means am I an expert. However after successes and failures, triumphs and tribulations, great sessions and epic duds, I have created my own set of Golden Rules that I try to follow when it comes to this hobby. I wish to be clear that these are my rules and some may find some or all stupid. Just sharing mine and curious if anyone wishes to share theirs?
